Intro To Blacksmithing

This is an introductory 4-week class for students where they learn the basics of blacksmithing. Topics covered include coal fire usage and maintenance, tools of the trade, techniques for forging metals and heat treatment of steels. Projects in this class include a church key bottle opener, rail road spike steak flipper, punch and chisel as well as a project tailored to the students interests.
